Community Cookbook

This is a page where community members can post their own recipes and ideas for cooking the vegetables in their Callaloo CSA Box. You don't have to be a member to post. Feel free to share your cooking experiences and suggestions about the recipes found in our weekly newsletter. Eventually, probably never, the recipes will be compiled in some sort of searchable database. But for now, just add your comment below.

  1. I like carrots and was always looking for new ways to cook them. I like this way very much.

Use food processor to grate carrots(large cut),chop sweet onion and saute in butter til desired softness.Wonderful flavor especially with fresh veggies.

  2. I AM THE BASKET LADY YOU SENT A BOX TO. THERE WAS A PURPLE CABBAGE AND i HAVE ONLY HAD IT IN SALADS AND USUALLY PICK IT OUT. GOT ON THE NET FOR RECIPES. I SLICED CABBAGE WITH SLICED ONIONS AND SAUTED IT IN OLIVE OIL AND BUTTER. IT WAS WONDERFUL!! NO TUMMY ACHE AS WITH GREEN CABBAGE WHICH I LOVE. NOW I HAVE A NEW VEGGIE THAT'S INEXPENSIVE AND TASTE GREAT. THANKS!!
